2022 Access to the Great Lakes Fishery - Access to the Great Lakes Fishery

Project Details

This project included installation of a universally accessible fishing structure on Stony Creek, located an hour northwest of Grand Rapids. Stony Creek is a highly productive cold-water stream with robust populations of brook, brown, and rainbow trout, and strong runs of Lake Michigan steelhead and salmon. A three-panel interpretive sign including a brief history of the site, recent restoration activities, and fishing information was installed at the entrance to the access structure as well.
