Project Summary
This project investigates how shoreline infrastructure influences angler participation, harvest behavior, and the value of recreational fishing at drowned river mouth lakes along eastern Lake Michigan. Through seasonal surveys, economic valuation, and best-worst scaling, we assess how site characteristics shape access, motivations, and provisioning benefits. Findings will inform infrastructure planning and fisheries management by identifying which site features enhance inclusion, support household food access, and reflect diverse angler experiences across urban and rural settings.
