Project Summary

The Cedar Run and Victoria Creeks project will replace two undersized road crossings to restore natural stream flow and reconnect over eight miles of upstream habitat that flow into Lake Leelanau and ultimately, Lake Michigan. These tributaries provide excellent habitat and cold groundwater recharge essential for sensitive Great Lakes salmonid species. By restoring connectivity and improving stream stability, the project will enhance spawning areas, support healthier fish populations, and strengthen long-term watershed resilience.
