Project Summary

TU and partners have put forth an effort to restore complete stream-habitat connectivity of Bigelow Creek since 2017. To date, 7 road-stream crossings have been replaced to improve aquatic organism passage (AOP) and stream function, with the most recent site completed in late summer/early fall in 2025. The lowest and last remaining problematic road-stream crossing is located at Croton-Hardy Rd, which has undersized, misaligned, and nearly failing twin culverts.
